Can anyone tell me who makes the best (for the price ) aftermarket match trigger for a 10/22.
Are there any other parts which it is a "must" to replace for optimum performance without changing everything ???

Power Custom hammer & rear kit from Brownels. Go to the rimfire web site listed a lot of info on 10/22 improvements.

I have a 10/22 with a marvelous trigger. There is a smith in Newport, New Hampshire by the name of Howard Avery. He is a current Ruger employee. He does trigger jobs on 10/22s and is great.

What you do is send him your trigger assembly and he will send you another one back that is crisp, clean, light, and a pleasure to shoot. He will set the weight at whatever you ask him to.

I may be wrong (I probably am) so dont hold him to this but I recall that his price was $$35.00 U.S. if you supply a trigger assembly. He can sell you a new one if that is what you want but I do not remember his price.

Send me a private message and I will send you his address if you are interested.

I'll second the no need for after market parts.
I have been doing trigger work on the 10/2's for a long time with no replacement patrs at all.
The triggers will have a small anount of take up, but no creep and a pull of 2 1/2 lbs consistantly.

I have done a few trigger jobs on Ruger 10/22,s. I own two.
You can get a good trigger pull with factory parts but.......
They are surfaced hardened only.. how long will it last?
One more thing... do not go as light as you can.
If you try to shoot with the safety on you may hear a click but no fire ... you have gone too far.
My latest Ruger manual lists hammers for $6.50, buy a couple extra because you will probably need them. Got a "V" trigger assb. for about $30 several years and it needed alot of work but it's hard all the way thru and you can still screw it up if you try hard enough. Been there done that.
By the way both 10/22's now have superb triggers and safe. But it cost a little.
