Somehow ??? one of the "ears" on the raceway that attach to the barrel broke off. The little coil spring and detent ball are missing. (Yes, my sons were using it for a year or two before i GOT IT BACK FOR CLEANING. How much trouble am I i to repair it?

The parts are readily available. The barrel latch assembly with it's two springs and detents can be a little much for someone doing this for the first few times, but if you first lay out the pieces in the order they go and think the process through, you can do it. Just do it in an area where you can find the loose parts should they decide to launch themselves.
