What circumference pistol grip do you put on your custom stocks. Personally I like from 5 1/8 to 5 1/4 but not over.

Oval in shape.....4 1/2" to 4 5/8".

Isn‘t the circumference of the pistol grip on a “custom†stock somewhat decided by the size of the customers hand, the customers holding style, and the width/shape of the tang of the particular action?

I use the old Springfield hold with my right thumb along side the stock, so I am not as sensitive to the circumference as someone who wraps their thumb over the grip.
