I have posted the photos of the receiver work and the octagon barrel and octagon front sights of my Pierce single shot bolt rifle. Pictured below is the trigger guard that I made and plan on using. Of course some hand work will need to be done.

The only thing left for me to do is have a brilliant vision of the rear iron sight. I have not thought of an attractive design yet.

If you have a good Buddy that can take your ideas and put them on paper, solid model them and send the iges, dxf, or other files to your local EDM shop, You are in with Flynn.

I saw that the Pierce action is being used in the new Creedmoor Sports target rifle. Must be a well made action.

Looking good Butch. It's been fun watching this one come together. I can't wait to see it finished.

John's machine work is impeccable. I like his receivers because they are made of Chromoly, they don't have scallop cuts in the side and his logo is in small letters. He uses a double helix for his primary extraction when you lift the bolt. It gives a very smooth feel when you extract a loaded round. How many of you had to fight one trying to get off an extra shot?
John and his son own Pierce racing engines. They have multiple 5 axis machining centers, a 2500HP dyno. He has a 12" capacity wire EDM. Just looked at a youtube video of an experimental 4 cam V8 supercharged motor that they built and listened to it run. John is a perfectionest. He did the wood stock work on Mustafa Bilal's BR rifle. It is probably the most beautiful BR rifle that I have seen. Most of you probably know Mustafa and the photography work that he does for the Guild and the other Arms manufacturers. His equip. is the very best.
