In past years CZ USA offered the CZ527 carbine in 22-250. According to The Rebarrel/rechambering guide at re-barreling guide a 22-250 can be re-barreled into a 45ACP rifle. Looks like this would make a nice short 45ACP rifle. Has anybody done one, and who makes the barrel? Is it reasonable to simply rebore the old barrel, and who does this?

This is a 1903 Turkish Mauser [98 Mauser design], that cost $50. I think it is a better action than a $500 CZ527, but that is my opinion. Anyway, I have unscrewed the barrel off both CZ527s and 1903 Turks. It is done with an action wrench and a barrel vise. Then one can cut threads and cut a 45 chamber on another barrel, and screw it onto the receiver. The 45acp case head looks like 22-250 case head [both descendants of the 1889 7.65x53mm Mauser case head], so the bolt face and the extractor already fit.
