Mine is a LH laminated thumbhole target, still in as-shipped condition. It will require some shaping and sanding to get the sharpies off the corners and the barrel channel is going to take some work because my barrel is nearly 1" at the muzzle, but the actual inletting looks sharp. It's just wood, so if anything needs to be added, it can be. I'm going to paint the finished product in four shades of metallic blue, fading into each other, so gaps won't be a problem. We'll just fill 'em with plastic wood, sand to fit and paint 'em over.

I have used a number of Richards stocks but only in laminate and I have him leave extra wood in the grip area, cheek piece, and in the inletting, so it would be hard for him to screw that up...

Most of my wood stocks are made from a blank and not turned, except lately I have gotten a little lazy and have had the last two or three turned on a CNC machine, sure saves time and effort, but I have not built many rifles latly as my business and my roping takes precidence...

I am presently building a 416 Rem. on a Sako FN Mauser action, and it will eventually sport a fancy Turkish Obendorf style stock, but I am taking my own sweet time and doing it in short spruts like when it snows or rains and is too nasty outside to go anywhere......
