Shortening Synthetic Stock??

I'm wondering if it is possible to shorten an H&S Precision stock.

I'm looking at a Rem 700P LTR .223 as a nice paper puncher for my wife. But I'm thinking I would want the stock shortened by around 3/4" to 1". Is this feasible?

Seeking your experiences and comments. Thanks!

MM; To me they are already short mine measures 14 inches from the trigger to the end of the rubber butt plate.I have seen other posts complaining of this. my guess is they are short so they can be lengthened with slip on pads.I use mine as a truck gun and usually shoot it out my window resting on a mirror for this I like it being a little short.

I have shortened a few synthetic stocks but not an H&S. The ones I have done were hollow. I cut a wooden insert that was fitted to the stock cavity and then epoxied it in place. The recoil pad or buttplate attaches to the wooden insert just like it does to a wooden stock.
