Scott King10.75x 68 info
Afternoon all,
A friend was asking about the 10.75x 68 Mauser. Would any of you be willing to guide us toward a website that might give some history, specs, and other info? He's considering a new project.
If you don't mind, we'd also like to hear barrel recomendations, twist, etc,...
Thanks much in advance.

jeffeosso.423 bullet on a specific case, less powerfull, in classic loads, than the 404 jeffe, fits into a standard length mauser, has minimal shoulder, should be in a 1x14 twist barrel, and you can expect ~2100 to 2200 with modern powders in a 23" barrel, with 400gr bullets.

........which ballistics make it substantially identical to the old .450/400 rounds used for many, many years as one of the most popular chamberings in Afrika.
I had a matched pair of Mauser 10.75's and loved them. Never realized they would become scarce or I NEVER would have sold mine.
John Taylor didn't much like them, but he wasn't a "bullet-savvy" guy. With the 347 grain original bullet they reputedly didn't penetrate well, but with bullets of adequate weight and construction, they are doozies.

Scott KingThanks for the info fellas.
My friends thought was to use a Mauser action he found in his safe to make a backup gun. He knew I was dabbling with the 9.3's, and we got to talking about options.
So, I did a search here on AR, and came up with a little info, and one thing I didn't quite come up with was brass. Any ideas?
If anyone had any reloading info they wouldn't mind passing along for informational purposes I'd sure appreciate it to.

Charles_HelmYou just missed some brass on the classifieds here.
Huntington's carries the Horneber brass in 10.75x68.
