Stopped in at George Beitzingers today. The retail store is closed. He's winding down the shop too. The Bridgeports and lathe are gone. After being at G&H for 10+ years think he opened in 1981.

Sad to hear about George. He redid a bubba'd 1903A3 springfield for me back in the late 80's if I remember right. New A3 barrel, steel lyman 57 sight,redfield drive on ramp front sight. I did all the polishing on the metal and when done he reblued it. Total cost was about $200 couldn't get the same work done today for close to three times that money. Still have the old girl and shoot it once in awhile. He also did a model 70 style bolt handle on my 1928 win 54 action. That one cost me $40 Frank
