I have a couple of nice custom rifles that have had the standard Mauser trigger reworked in such a way that they feel like an aftermarket trigger such as a Blackburn etc. One has been lengthened so it fits properly towards the rear of the trigger guard bow. Two Hoffmans and one Griffin and Howe rifles. Is there anyone on the forum doing such work now? I would like to convert all of my big boomers to such a trigger. Need it done on 10-12 of them now. Would the barrelled action need to go to effect the conversion? square shooter

Square Shooter, It's a process that seems to have fallen out of practice in favor of aftermarket triggers. I have done several of these reworks on Turk and 98 Mausers. I would want the complete firearm to verify trigger to sear fit and safety operation as well as the complete stock to properly fit the trigger to the trigger guard curve. A photo of the rifle already modified will help show where you want the trigger to be. I'm a full time gunsmith in Michigan, with FFL. PM me to discuss further. Mike Ryan Mike Ryan - Gunsmith
