guys I thought I'd asked this before, but couldn't find the post in searching. let's say hypothetically that a lazy gun owner was fitting a limbsaver to their safari express in 375, and because they were tired and it was late didn't take the metal out of the stock, and the added weight caused them to slip and make a little booboo on the sander (for argument let's say about the size of a pea) that took finish off. what finish would they use to touch this up? I actually don't like the stock, it doesn't fit me well, but it's what's on there for now and that's what needs to be fixed, er, theoretically. Red

assuming this is a wood stock you should be able to pick up a bottle of tru oil and blend it in fairly easy. ive found it easiest to use something like an old shirt or something and rub it on in light coats buffing between coats and then a wax job to finish it off.
