Hi, does anyone know what the barrel threads are for the Interarms virginian Dragoon? Also the Ruger blackhawk and Super BH.
Could a Ruger SBH 44 barrel be put onto a Virginian Dragoon with little work?

Any pistol smiths on here that could do the job? Or shorten the Dragoon barrel and reinstall. Original barrel has split forcing cone.
Not mine.

Found a 45 Blackhawk barrel in the safe and took dimensions off of it.

If you're gonna pull the barrel anyway, pull it and measure the theads.
I'll send you a PM on the work.

Numrich used to sell Virginia Dragoon parts. They may still have a barrel even if it's not cataloged.
Good luck!

Virginian Dragoons were made by Sig or Sauer before the merger. You might try to see if they'll warranty the barrel. Otherise, I would try Numrich.

The gun isn't mine, but a guy on the Cast Boolit forum.
http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=8661
He was looking for options so I posted the question here also.
I looked at Numrich, but all they had listed was barrels for the 357 and 45 Colt.

Thanks
Glenn.

The Hawes (improter in Cal.) revolvers were made by Suar & Sohns too. Look at the barrel availability of these at Nurich too.

If the barrel is a 7 1/2". Why not set it back 2" for a 5 1/2". May work, and there is nothing to lose.
