What gunsmith would you recommend to profile and possibly head up a blank for a Beretta ASEL.I know some machines are more precise. My usual smith is backed up for 2 years and I would like the gun up and shooting before I tip over.

Al Lind in Washington State is excellent. He has turned a couple of left hand Mausers for me. Both under two weeks. He does superb complete work. Browse his web site.

He may be booked up also, don't know but he is good..

Reached a point where its easier and faster to rough one out on a mill and do more work with the cabinet rasp..

I appreciate Ray's recommendation, however I am retired and except for an occasional project for my own amusement, no longer duplicating stocks.
