After seeing this post and checking out the seller's other pieces of wood I can pretty much say he needs to learn how to lay out a blank for grain direction. Seems like every blank he shows has the grain flow going the wrong direction. A lot of good wood just got wasted IMHO- Sheister

Jeffe,

There is another guy in California that sells crap like that on Ebay too. There is a sucker born every day.

I'd just a soon buy a combination lock at a flea market without the combination.

But it wouldnt surprise me if somebody buys it, crap like that sells all the time.

Damn, that sucks!

Jeff,

Contact Robert at WATTS WALNUT

He's a great guy to do business with and his blanks arrive "As Advertised! His prices have been very reasonable. I own three of his blanks!

What is wrong with it? I think the contrast is cool, or at least different enough to warrant useage.

Please enlighten me!

No, he's advertising them as gunstock blanks, not scale stock.

Either he kept the choice center and is selling a side or he got greedy and tried for two out of a crotch only big enough for one.

Either way it was cut too close underneath and he wound up with only two-piece blanks.
