Well I'm hoping that this catchs Bill Leepers eye. If so I was wondering what kind of shooting events there is in the Kootenays in the summer time. I'm a member of the Trail rifle range. But I live in Salmo. I'm very interested in learning to shoot but I'm currently going to school in vancouver. If you knew of any events in the area that are open to guys who are interested in learning a thing or two but are only novices at best I would love to find out about them.

If you could help me out I would appreciate it a great deal.

Markus,
I can only tell you of the shooting that I'm aware of. Near Cranbrook, there is the Bull River club which shoots primarily silohuette a shooting discipline which interests me very little.
At Creston they hold a benchrest for score match once or twice a year. Rock Creek shoots Hunter class BR.
Truthfully, there is no doubt a lot that happens that I don't know about. Maybe contact Neil Sorsdahl who is in your area and see what he knows. I think Neil still has Bear Creek Trading co. Regards, Bill
