I note with some amusement that the Ruger front sight band I used on my .458 AR has moves slightly forward after shooting it some this trip. It was attached only with the set screws provided and I didn't really expect it to stay put. Is one of the reasons I brought it to Texas with me ... to shake out the kinks a bit before it goes to Africa. Seems to me that the remounting choices are to put it back on with a epoxy or a hellacious Loc-Tite or with Force 44 solder. Which would be considered the most acceptable? Thanks! I would think if you were to put it back into position and dimple the barrel where the set screws fit, it should stay as long as you loctite them. If you solder of braze it on, you will be looking at a refinish. Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

Jim, Have to refinish it anyway as the intent is to rust blue it. (Have had a time getting the recoil lug to stay on Mike -------------- DRSS, Womper's Club, NRA Life Member/Charter Member NRA Golden Eagles ... Knifemaker, http://www.mstarling.com
