Winchester Model 24 problem

I have a Winchester Model 24 side by side 12ga that I bought used a couple of years ago from Cabelas. I really enjoyed hunting with it until it began to fire both barrels when I pulled the front trigger(for the modified choke barrel). The first time it happened, I went home and cleaned everything thoroughly with no effect. Since then, I have only loaded one shell at a time to avoid the immense recoil and potential damage from both barrels firing at once. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is and how I might fix it? I really love this shotgun and am open to any suggestions.

And, that is one job you should definitely hire out to a gunsmith.
