I have been wanting to create a 300 Dakota for some time now, and cost issues vs income are preventing me from commisioning a new build Frowner

My question is, can one of my existing Cooper rifles in 270 or 280, be converted to a 300 Dakota?

Thanks for any feedback.

Magazine width and feeding my be an issue with that conversion. The diameter of the 300 Dakota is quite a bit more than the 30-06. Find a good gunsmith who is familiar with feeding issues before you begin or you could have problems. Personal experience here and it took a lot of the fun out of a very nice custom rifle.
