I asked is medium bores, didn't get a response. Maybe here?

What contour would you recommend for a 8x57 20" Mannlicher? #1, #2, or #3?

Kind of depends on whose contours they are. To me a 1 is too light. Since it will be cut off short I'd lean towards the 2.

Originally my gunsmith wanted to get a Shilen barrel but the lead time was insane. I think he is getting Hart now.
