blocking porting ?

Hello all,

is it possible somehow to block the porting using grub screw's or some other method, has anyone tried anything ?

Choppa, for about 15 years all I could afford was a 460 Wby Mark V with the terrible loud Pendelton brake. After my second hunt in Africa the PH swore never to hunt with me carring this gun again. So, I went home, put the gun in the lathe and cut the brake off.
I'm still happy with the results and would never again own a gun with a muzzle brake.
In my opinion it is better to use a smaller caliber if recoil is a problem.

Anything used to plug porting holes is a potential missile aimed in the wrong direction.

Don't do it.
