Any info where to find a barrel band front sight for a Browning model 95? NEGC, or is it NECG are all ramped. I guess I could cut off the ramp.
Thanks for any assistance

Did Browning not provide a front sight with the rifle?

NECG definitely makes ramps that are not banded, if what you want to do is replace the factory ramp. Why, you didn't say.

Actually they did, I'd prefer a barrel band front sight.

You said you didn't want the NECG ramp banded sight. Not sure what you want.

A number of years ago I got barrel band front sight from NECG, no ramp. Looked great, worked great and would like to duplicate it. I can use the ramped barrel band, if I have no other choice.

Is it possible that you used a rear sight ring base. I looked in the current Recknagel catalogue and an older one (2003) and found no front sight base without a ramp.
There is one of the rear sight bases that might be what you're looking for.
Current catalogue page 14.
Ringvisiersattel 16510 0170/0240
Worth a try.

If I read the OP correctly, but maybe I don't, he wants a band with a simple post, or maybe a dotted post.

Something like an "O" with an "I" at 12 o'clock.
One could be fabricated, perhaps.

These fit a military M98 barrel.

set screw through top, (missing)
set screw for blade through side
no blade.

The one I have is very similar, except sweat on.
For some reason. to me, a rapped front sight on a leaver action does not look appropriate, like a sweat on barrel band front sight.
I may need to use the ramped sight and learn to like it.
Thanks for everybody's input
