hi i have a mod 788 in 308 is there some place to purchase a new stock for this gun at a reasonable price . i think a reasonable price should be around $100.00 or so . i also can do the finish work .the stock on it is cracked down the middle by the mag . i spread i apart and gluded it . the gun still does not shoot as well as i think it should . about 2.5 to 3'' groups at 100 yrds this is not good . thanks for the help. Go to www.boydboys.com. I too have a 788, but in 7mm-08. Also Ramline makes a syn. stock for the 788. I have a Ramline for mine, but switched back to the original because nothing beats the feel of wood.

i have a wood stock for a 700 sa and also the factory barrel that came off when i had a rifle built for myself. if interested you can e-mail me and we can work something out.
