I have a 1909 Mauser action. The bolt handle is bent down in a short radius curve. Is that the way they were originally or did they stick straight out like early M98's??? RELOAD - ITS FUN!

With Mausers in general, infantry rifles had the straight bolt and carbines had the wide arc bolt. -Spencer
