I have a 1909 Mauser action. The bolt handle is bent down in a short radius curve. Is that the way they were originally or did they stick straight out like early M98's???

With Mausers in general, infantry rifles had the straight bolt and carbines had the wide arc bolt.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

A straight handle is correct for a rifle and a curved handle iscorrect for a carbine. Rojelio
