I have noticed that the 410 and 12 guage i have are stamped SB1 while the .223 and 30/06 are both stamped SB2 Can someone tell me the difference between the two. And the 10 guage i have is stamped SB2MAG , can i assume that the 10 guage receiver is the same or has the same strength as the rifle receivers? Thanks Tanoose

I would simply call H&R. You can find there
help line number on their website. I believe
the SB1 is a lower pressure shotgun receiver and
the SB2 is for rifles. When you call H&R they
can tell you exactly what your receiver is to be used for by the serial number. When on their
website look at the accessory barrel program information. That may help you also.

Old lk Hunter got it. The SB1shotgun receivers are rated at a lower pressure thatn the SB2 rifle receivers. I checked this with H&R some time ago.
