Just received my copy.
Looks like I'll be losing a lot of sleep.
Very professional layout. I like the binder setup.
Thanks

I stayed up til nearly 3 this morning skimming/reading this. What a treasure trove of knowledge and experience.
The loose leaf format makes it easy to work from and reference; and the hard binder will keep it safe from handling deterioration.

Very nice addition to the library if you have a curiosity (like I do) about the "how" of things.

If I was not backlogged this week with things to do I would already be making a few things from the book just out of curiousity. I am quite anxious to try some of what is in the book.

When I got mine a while back I added the plastic protecter sleeves to each page, good thing I did because I'm always glancing at something in it! I can flip through the pages without worry of tearing.

When I was teaching metalsmithing at Trinidad, I would bring all of my tools and fixtures to class. I only had the students for a week, they had their own personal projects and didn't have time to make drawnings. They encourged me to sit down and put this information on paper. There really isn't another book like it that has been published that I'm aware of. I'm glad you all are enjoying the book.

Mark,

I just received my copy of your book and I'm impressed. I'm glad that I have the next three days off so I can enjoy reading various sections.

If you do come out with a supplement, I will be happy, as someone else suggested, to pay for the supplement to help absorb some of your printing and mailing costs.

Thanks for your dedication to the shooting industry.

I've had this book in my hands before. Didnt get to read through the whole thing, but what I got to see was great and very helpful in my first attempt at making scope mounts.

I REALLY need to pick up this book for myself!

Mark,

I have been around firearms all of my life and I am in the fourth quarter of my life. I always thought that I had a good working knowledge of firearms and, to a smaller degree, the basic knowledge of gunsmithing.

After reading your book and reviewing the CD, I have come to realize how little I know. I guess I'm pretty smart because it only took me two hours of reading your book to figure out how little I know about firearms. Smiler

Thanks for enlightening me.

After I finished wrting the book I found additional tools that should of made the book. I've written 25 or 30 HOW TO articles for the GUNMAKERS GUILD and I know they are not to be found by rhe general shooting world. So I thought I might reprint those pieces.

For those of you who might want to get into this trade, becoming an Associate in the guild might not be a bad place to start. Each GUNMAKER, that's the guild publacation, features HOW TO articles. Before I got into the guild I went to Reno just to see what was going on. The first time I want to look at checkering patterns. You might think about it...
