I recently came across a couple VZ24 M98 Mausers that had bolts without the guide rail on their bolt bodies. Have any of you seen this before ?
Thanks In Advance

Does the rear bridge have the slot for the guide?

They would be late war, simplified production bolts and would probably have round gas escape ports as well. I have had a few Israeli Mausers with these bolts and they had had thousands of rounds through them with no problems.

Very common on late 44 and 45 built 9iks; they left off the guide rail and you will find that the gas holes are round instead of oblong. Doesn't hurt a thing. Yes, the Israelis used those too. Damn, I see you already said all this; I usually answer first; read the question later.
