I currently have a .458 X 2" American buuilt on an old Remington Model 722 Action. Just wondering if this rifle could be rechambered to the factory available .450 Marlin, and also the chamber throat be lenghten to handle 400 grain bullets? Does anyone know what the cost of such procedure would cost me? <Thanks!>

If the 450 Marlin will run thru the magazine, it seems all you need is a deeper chamber with the deeper belt headspace. I'd get a few Marlin rounds to check for the magazine length and if they fit.....I suspect $100 might get the chambering done but prices vary immensely.
