My friend is having trouble with the iron sights on his 300WM SAKO BATTUE. It has a 20 inc barrel. He is now planning to replace them with some adjustable ones.
Most of his hunting is in Poland and for the close up shots he likes the iron sights.
The rifle has a Zeiss scope for longer range and an EAW Pivot Mount for fast removal.
Any suggestions for what type or brand he should buy? Any information welcome

The trouble is that the sights are to lose, that is you can newer trust that they are on target after the gun is removed from the gun case.

I would take the sights off. Degrease the screws, the screw holes in the barrel & the bottoms of the sights. Apply Lock tite or if you don't have that, finger nail polish to the threads & bottom of the sight then tighten the sights good. This should take care of the loose sight problem.
