I have been thrashing this about for some time now and I am curious. We all know that some Kimber rifles do not shoot well. OK, so why not rebarrel one if the shooting is poor. You still have claw extractor, good trigger and +- 5.2 lbs. Now you would be into the rifle some $1600 or so. Is there another option with all the goodies (extractor, etc.)? Second question: Has anyone played with one enough to know if the bolt stop, feed ramp, etc. could be extended some to allow for a 7X57, which would need 3.+ from the 2.8 as it stands? I know you can get one in 7/08 but I have a "feeling" for the old girl.... I know that many things can be done with enough money, but it would be nice to know going in to the project ahead of time. Thanks in advance, Arthur Olds | ||
