I'm in the process of build my wildcat 400PDK. Trying to stay light in design. Will have banded front, leave rear and banded swivel. I have this stock I built about 30 yrs ago sitting in a box and want to use it. It has a Schnabel (sp?) tip. I plan to reduce the cheek piece to look llike my Whitworth (paper). Issue is what to do with the grip cap. Replace it with steel? Raise the front of the bottom edge to allow me to correct the alignment. Other thought? I really don't want to start over with a new blank. I think this one would fill the bill with some changes. Help. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Absolutly! As far as the final shape of the cheek piece thats pretty much up to your personal taste. Doug Humbarger NRA Life member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club 72'73. Yankee Station Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

I've been about 98% sure I was going to go back to steel. I agree on the cheek piece. I never realized how big it was until I laid it next to some of my newer ones. Issue I have with the steel tip is do I try and alter the grip area to allow the seam to line up with the top point of the recoil pad or just replace it as is. As usual just my $.02 Paul K
