Has anyone fit and finished any of the stocks offered as semi- inlets from the Biesens? My Dad and I are considering fitting one up to a spare pre-64 model 70 as a summer project.

I used one for a Mauser Project. But I sent them the wood to be used. I was very happy with their product.

You should probably call. Lots of smith's don't do email. They say it attracts too many "tire kickers".

Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I had the Biesens do 2 semi inlets for me and I was very pleased with the work and quick turn around time. Don't be fooled though, there is a lot of finishing to be done and wood to be taken off.

Here is a Biesen semi inlet that was inletted by me (with mistakes) and finished and checkered by Bill Soverns. Jim Dubell did the metal work. Check out how they did the ebony tip, I don't know how they did it but I love it.
