It can fire 45 LC, but barely dents the primer on DoubleTap's 454 Casull. It had a tune job to it, and the hammer bobbed. I put a new stock mainspring in it, but that didn't help. Any suggestions? I've ordered a stock hammer for it, I suspect too much weight may have been removed from the hammer.

Any suggestions? Does anyone make a Ti hammer, or ti firing pin for one? If so, would that help? Ruger's hammer's seem poorly designed, w. a very inefficient use of mass...

I thought the 454 Casull used a small rifle primer because of the pressure. If so might need to be hit harder.

As usual just my $.02
