This might help with using the features of your desktop software.
here's what MICROSOFT has built into windows
To open Magnifier, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Accessibility, and then click Magnifier. As for a drop in model 30, there isn't one. You can try an enfield 1917 with a "straightened" floorplate.

CRUSHERI have several of these rifles and you can change bottom metal and have a drop in but a semi custom is better mpi fajen both make stocks under p-17 or i might buy it I need a m-30 rem or trade for p-17

Good luck on your quest, but you won't find
one. I looked all over for one to use as a
pattern. You can get a 17 Enfield sporter stock
and it will work. I fit mine while the barrel
was off to a sporter 17 stock and everything
fit Ok. Not great, but OK.
Jeffe;
Are you taking on work for people like me
who do not carry a "band of bubbas" card?
I am about finished with my pattern for a
Rem 30EX in .404 Jeff take-down.
Thanks

STINGERDEAR JEFFEOSSO
I'M NOT BLIND YET, ALTHOUGH I DO HAVE GLAUCOMA, I ONLY HAVE ONE HAND TO TYPE WITH. I THINK IT LOOKS RETARDED TO TYPE IN SMALL CASE AND IT'S ALSO MORE DIFFICULT FOR ME. I DON'T KNOW WHO THE FOUR EYED GEEK WITH THE INK STAINED SHIRT POCKET WAS WHO DECIDED UPPER CASE IS SHOUTING BUT I FAIL TO HEAR ANY DIFFERENCE ON MY COMPUTER. OH, AND DID I MENTION I ALSO HAVE A HEARING LOSS AFTER SERVING MY COUNTRY FOR 27 YEARS AND WEAR HEARING AIDS NOW.
AS I SAID IN MY SIGNATURE "THANKS FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION".

jeffeossoBill,
Like I said, you can start with a 1917 straighten bottom and inlet for there, I don't know of any one that makes a drop in.
Sorry, just trying to help. The microsoft accessibility things are exactly that. I am one of those 4 eyed ink stained geeks

.. i've only been on the 'net for about 26 years.. It was determined that if you want to make a point very clear, you could type those words in caps to make it "raised" voice, to match "raised" case. Like most geek things, if you ask, someone will explain it.
Raff,
If i can help, I'll be glad to. Just PM me with what you would like to do.

Rick 0311Bill,
Try Biesen’s, theirs aren’t “drop ins†but they are 98% finished. I believe their 1917 stocks are for sporters with straightened bottom metal.

STINGERray, jeffe, 2triggers and rick. thanks for all the helpful info. i really appreciate it. i'm just going to muddle this over for a while.
or i might just buy an enfield stock and play woodworker and try to impress all my associates with my brilliance? in gunsmithing. that ought to keep me off the streets and out of the bars for awhile. lol.
i bought the action at a gunshow minus the stock. the barrel looked as though it had never been fired. all the cuts were perfect, the action was smoother than greased ball berarings on glass and it had the most beautiful blue job i've ever seen. that blueish purple tint like some of the old pistols used to be.
i guess i just fell in love with a pretty face and plopped down $350. for it. hope i didn't get hosed toooo bad.
it was never drilled and tapped and has the old lyman steel sights on it.
well, thanks again guys.

Rick 0311Stinger,
Have no idea of the quality, but Numrich has “RIA“ Sportsman semi inletted stocks for $77.00 to fit Enfields with the straightened guard. They say they are “American Walnut.â€

jeffeossoBill,
glad we gave you some food for thought. You did really well on the model 30
boyd's makes a decent stock, which is what the "ria" is, though not to my tastes, with the kinda raised/kinda monte carlo cheek piece.. though usually about 60-90 bucks DIRECT

<slancey>Stinger,
I've got a take off stock from my Rem. 720 that's in pretty good shape. I think it's a Bishop.
I think there's plenty of wood if you need to enlarge the opening to fit the Rem. 30.
I have 4 photos.
