bulldog563Opinions on Blank?
What do you guys think of this blank?
I like it!
The only problem I see is it will put a lot of pressure on the guy doing the metal work to come up with something that justifies using that wood.
Not a bad problem to have

Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

vapodogbeauty is in the eyes of the beholder as the saying goes.......I sure like it.....then it's a matter of price....
In the end it only matters what
YOU think of it.

I am confident the person doing the metal work is up to the task.
Vapo,
Price isn't too high. Still trying to work it out with the seller.
Only problem is it is kind of wet so would have to sit on it for a while.
I really like it though.

Are you going to want to take it out in the woods hunting?

Glen71If the pattern cut-out is actual size, that is a pretty large blank, both in width and length! There appears to be some sapwood at the "heel" area, though that should be easy to avoid. How thick is the blank?
27 June 2006, 06:13
bulldog5632.75" so its pretty thick.

Glen71What are the other dimensions (length, width @ butt, width @ tip), if you don't mind my inquiring?

jeffeossoexcellent looking blank, but if it is "kinda wet" then it's wet.. and the price should reflect that, as the person drying it takes all the risk of it splitting/warping/getting pithty, etc...
if the price is right, i love the blank

Wow, even Jeffe could cut a petite stock out of that one.
