Well, I have been looking for a source for a walnut stock in a classic profile for a 98 mauser in either a military barrel channel or sporter. I can't find either in a reasonable price range. I'm not looking for french walnut, Just a good servicable stock. I tried finding used on some sites and no-go. How about a source for synthetic non tupperware stocks that is reasonable. Anybody have a stock or two to sell? Thanks, Swede96.

Swede96 - I have a semi-inlet classic stock in semi-fancy Claro that I will sell for $45. The barrel channel is just a starter groove, so you can inlet for whatever barrel profile you want. If you are interested, I will e-mail you some pictures.

Hi,

Check out Richards Microfit riflestocks. Check out the bargain page. They have about 100 stocks for the M98 mauser at discount prices.

Hope this helps, The Big Dog

Hey Swede 96,

You might want to listen to The Big Dog. Richard's is a great source of fine wood at unbelievably good prices. I had a .35 Whelen and 8mm-06 made and the wood that was used was from Richard's. I am having a .405 Winchester built on a P14 action that will be stocked with Richard's wood also. The quality really is great.

Here is their URL: http://www.rifle-stocks.com/

Good shooting,

Smoker*
