Hey all,

Could you please post pics of how you have had your rifles engraved or gold inlayed with the chambering? How many of you have the gunmaker put on there as well and do you have pics?

Scrollcutter, you specifically are invited to post pics. Big Grin

I just stamp the caliber on the left side of the barrel and my name as maker on the bottom (BBL) next to the year built, at the index marks that line up the barrel & action. Engraved? Gold inlayed? I guess I build simpler rifles Smiler.

Putting together a nice rifle for my stepfather, going to have very limited embellishment and not too fancy a stick of walnut. He's a jeans, t-shirt and boots guy.

Red,

Hope the rifle is coming along well.

I had the maker's name engraved along the top of the barrel on this rifle. It simply reads 'Kudu Services. Maker. Australia.'

As you can see (along with a lot of lint!), the chambering is marked on the barrel '9.3 X 62'

Thanks Stu, that looks great.

I think the rifle has been coming along great since it hasn't had to contend with me yet! Big Grin

I totally forgot about crossbolts!!!!

Nice rifle, but WE REALLY NEED PICS OF THE WHOLE RIFLE! Smiler
I would talk to the engraver who did the work and see what he/she recommends..please do not use one of the "do it yourself" kits, like Bonanza....they come out looking like crap...in my experience that is.
Good luck! It is a very nice looking rifle for what can be seen of it...(hint, hint!!!)

Forgot to put them in or forgot you might like to have them engraved? Big Grin

Congomike,
not sure if you meant my rifle or Red's. More photos of my rifle posted HERE. Sorry, no full length pics available. I only have about 4 1/2' of balcony space in which to work and I can't get back far enough.

cheers,
