I recently purchased a Husqvarna 640 that came with a cheap scope and "Weaver type" bases. The action is said to be an FN mauser.

The front base is marked "35" and "Japan". The rear base is marked "55" and Japan". They are aluminum.

I'd like to replace these bases with either Warne Premier or Leupold bases.

Any idea which ones would fit?

Thanks

Warne makes the M898/828 for the ones with the stripper clip hump removed and the commercial small rings. They also make a copy of the old 55 Weaver with the stripper clip cut to fit over the unaltered hump M898/829.

When I was a kid. I had the stick. I had the rock. And I had the mud puddle. I am as adept with them today, as I was back then. Lets see today's kids say that about their IPods, IPads and XBoxes in 45 years!
