How to anchor an XP-100 rifle in McMillan stock???

Gentlemen:

Can anyone advise me how to anchor an XP-100 rifle in a McMillan stock? The rifle is a single shot and as you XP aficionados know, there is only one hole (bottom of receiver ring) to anchor the rifle into a stock. There is a small threaded hole in the middle of the action (bottom). What does a guy do, drill it out, thread it and run a screw up through the front of the trigger guard and then run a blind screw up in the rear trigger guard screw hole??

Any help is appreciated. I have a heavy, 28" Kreiger tube on this thing so I I need at least two good fastening points to anchor the action.

Thanks,

Jordan

A long shot, but a Mr. Terry Blawenkamp (spelling uncertain) on AR forum knows my Michigan gun smith who took my XP 100 into a McMillan handgun stock. Do not have the piece before me as I write, but believe he added a piece of metal to rear of tang to allow for that second screw mount to be held..gunsmith's first name "Mike", if you can find "Terry" or he finds you, he can link you to Mike. r in s.

The XP 100 used the same receiver as the Model 600. If you get a stock to fit the M600 it should fit the XP100 as well. Of course there will be a magazine well in the M600 stock.

Clowdis "Gus" the dog thinks highly of you also.
Jordan Thats an XP-100R in a Remington model 7 stock. Its been rebarreled to a 250 savage imp 40 degree, barrel is a Krieger. It shoots 115 gr tripleshock Barnes bullets into 1/2" groups all day long and kills whitetails like a lightning bolt.
