Lalle, I can't find the article, but either one of the Wolfe Publishing mags (Rifle or Handloader) or American Rifleman had an article on Gunsmithing schools in the last two years. They gave a synopsis of the course of study and the differences in the well-known ones. Also, they listed notable graduates. I believe the PA Gunsmith school was one of the ones featured, and they had fairly positive things to say about the course of study and the graduates. I'll keep looking for the article. Steve

One of the catalogs had a comparison of all the current schools. Don't remember what it was Midway I think their big book. I'll scratch around and see if I can find it. They compared TJC,Murray,Calif, and a couple of others. SCI Life Member NRA Patron Life Member DRSS

skl1, Midway had an article about gunsmithing schools in their catalog. I don't remember if it was this years catalog or last years. That may be the one you're thinking of. Mark Pursell

Mark, Lalle, Yes, Mark, now I remember. It was in an insert, though, not in the catalog itself. And, of course, I've located the catalog (which references the article by Reid Coffield) but can't find the insert. Steve
