On my Varmint Rifle [Rem 700] I have a jewel,on my big game[Rem 700] Rifle I have a basix. They both work just fine.the jewel cost double the basix.I love them both.

Ironworker,
The Remington 30s is a factory sporterized 1917 Enfeild, the only thing it has in common with a Model 700 is the name Remington.

What after market trigger should I look for to put into my Remington 30s? Will the Timney trigger for Enfields work? Or is another make or model better. I just want a clean single stage trigger at about three pounds, instead of the original two stage it still has. I do not like going back and forth between different types of trigger pulls.
