Has anybody heard of this outfit and/or talked with the owner, Robert Bastow, regarding a modern magnum Mauser action at a "reasonable" price.

I believe Robert Bastow passed away about 5-6 yrs ago.

He widow sold the company and the new owners tried to make a go of it but, evidently there were financial issues that they could not over come and closed up shop.

I asked Jack Belk about these actions while he was still active at AR & HA and he was not to impressed.... FWIW.

Regards,
Dave

DavidC - Thanks for the reply. I just happened to see this on a Google search for "Magnum Mauser" and thought it was worth checking out.

Robert or "TEENUT" was around here before he died. His dream was to make a Magnum Mauser action that the working man could afford. He was going to make them in both right and left hand. If I recall correctly he was in the process of getting necessary licenses from the ATF when he died of cancer. Kind of a sad deal the way things happened. This was back in the old days of Accurate Reloading.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! 'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'
