I use an epoxy glue on both base and screws. A slight warm up and off it comes. I don't like loctite on the real big kickers because it can be hard to undone to the screws but at the same time the base can work lose, not lose as in wobbling around but lose enough to ruin accuracy. Mike | ||

Interesting Mike 375-- I hadn't experienced that before, or at least I haven't thought that I have. I actually had thought of epoxy on some rigs where I never intended for the scope to be seperate from that rifle again, hmmmm. Craigster, the Loctite 242 I mention is in fact blue, at least the couple of bottles I have, maybe that's the same stuff you use- Regards gentlemen--D. | |||

When called for I use plain ol' blue (medium strength) Loctite. | |||
