The best Ive seen was RT sako, with the base cut into the front ring, hardley moved any metal and they were very med. rings and fit a 2x7x28 older leupold, looked great and could be done with about any set of rings..Id like that done on a L series in a large caliber with Talley QD rings, and that would need to start iwth a surface ground action so return to zero would be perfect with bases to interfere so to speak... As a postscript..... One of my nicest 2x4's using Conetrols......a Winslow/Sako 17-222. And a guy on "safari" that used many Conetrols on his rifles.......Vern O'Brien. Kevin | |||
