I like this Pachmayr pad. No sand paper used , no power tools. I used the rasp and file. Yes it was slow. | ||

I like the "pebbled" texture look. That took patience. Did you do it with the pad attached? I like the disc sander because it is moving so fast, it cuts the hard and soft material more evenly. | |||

I lied, rough trimmed it with my cheap tilting bandsaw and filed it on the stock | |||

If you haven't already seen it, below is the recommended technique to finish installing a Pachmayr pad. Final finish of the pad. We recommend you use the following guidelines: A wood sanding block 1" x 1" with wet/dry paper 180-240/320 grit. Use a few drops of furniture polish with lemon oil for lubricant and polish evenly around the base of the pad. If you attempt to remove too much material you will find that the base will be undersized to the pad. Clean the pad by wiping with Armor All®. | |||
