I have decided to set up my Sedero as a stricktly deer and antelope gun. I know favor 7mm over 25-06 that the gun is know chambered in. If I rebarrel this gun in 280 Ackley and shoot only 140 grain bullets and smaller what do you all recommend for twist?

The Greenhill formula says that 11.25 is the minimum twist for such bullets. For best accuracy is it best to just stabalize the bullet or to over stabalize a bit?

If it was mine, it would be 1-9" twist.....

"strictly deer and antelope gun"?,,,,sounds like a 25-06 would work....But if you want to rebarrel to 280AI, go with a 10" twist. My 7-08AI is 10" twist and it shoots very well with 140's at 3000.
