I have two muzzleloaders with set triggers.
One I think is ok, it sets and fires the only thing I am not sure of is it can not be fired unless you set the back trigger. Is it a target trigger?
The other a newer Thompson left hand will only fire from the front trigger. The back trigger does not work at all if you push forward on the back trigger it will fire?
Thanks Dave

In dual set triggers the rear trigger is the cocking trigger. It is spring loaded. When you cock the rear trigger it engages on the back of the front. Touch the front and it releases, Your trigger needs to be adjusted so the two engage.

You pushing the rear one forward is just doing what the spring normally does.

Insides and function will be close to this.
