I am conidering the replacement of a synthetic ADL stock on a Mountain Contour .280 with either a Remington TI or Brownell one-punder. Can anyone give me the weight savings between a std ADL Synthetic stock and a TI stock? ALso, any recommendations for a light stiff stock would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe the Ti stock is a Bell and Carlson and is not particularly light--I think in the 25oz. range. You can get a great stock from Bansner High-tech for $250 that weighs 17 oz and they're very well designed and stiff. For extreme weight savings take a look at Lone Wolf stocks--they make one in the 12 oz range. I've handled the Brown Precision pounder and own several of the High-tech specialties and I strongly prefer the ergonomics (and price) of the High Tech. Most of the issue plastic stocks I have come in bt 29 and 35 oz. Do a search as the Ti stocks as well as the others have been discussed extensively--both Bansner's High-Tech and Lone Wolf have web sites. Jay Kolbe

+1 on the high Tech. I got two so far with more to follow. Nice stock for the price if you are handy at all with sand paper, bedding and srpay paint.
