| The Supergade pettern is a bit on the large side for a light rifle. You could do the Feather weight with a textured paint, or you could opt the Compact pattern. Either way, you will be hard pressed to hit 8lbs all up with a McMillan unless you opt EDGE construction. riflestockpainting.com |

| I recently added a McMillan stock to my .257 Rbts, custom barreled to follow the Featherweight profile on a short Winchester action. The stock is in McMillan's "Sako Classic" pattern, and in the Edge configuration. With a Leupold 6x36 scope, the rifle weighs 7 3/4 lbs. The Sako Classic pattern has a smaller wrist and forearm than other McMillan Winchester patterns, and I like it a lot. The stock is checkered and has McMillan's textured paint finish (and a cheekpiece). Hope this helps |
