Anyone ever heard of a gunsmith named GC Grace.
I saw an extraodinary G33-40 yesterday at a bargain price but know nothing of the builder.

Never heard of him but that really means nothing.

It is probably Chuck Grace from Tinadad, Colorado. He is a Guild Member and should be at the show this year. In my opinion he is one of the best stock makers out there and an all around great guy.

I agree, most likely Chuck Grace of Trinidad CO. He makes a mighty fine rifle, and his stock work is superb.

Thanks guys
It was a superb rifle.
I checked out the guild web page. The rifle resembles the one in the photos there.
Checkered steel Neidner butt plate, checked grip cap, 4X Leupold compact, Conetrol mounts and rings, some one's elegant bottom metal that I did not recognize, wonderous workmanship on the stock, all metal hand finished running the length of the rifle, 3 position safety, 2 panel checkered bolt knob, European type sling eyes, G33-40 action........ dang....
