Simple question...Is laser engraving ( calibre on barrel ) done before or after bluing ?

The answer is Yes.
Before; you get blued letters. After; you get silver ones.

Just FYI With acid etching, calibers, etc. can be done eithr before or after bluing . Ater bluing, lettering will be black. Just rinse and oil.

With proper acid, stainless... sameo.
